Our Centre

Perry Street Childcare Centre and Elizabeth Gorman Memorial Kindergarten is a vibrant, inclusive and sustainable community-run early childhood education centre that acknowledges and supports the uniqueness of each child and family.

We are a centre of excellence in early childhood education for children and are routinely rated 'Exceeding' in the seven National Quality Areas. The centre has been running for over 40 years, with many of our staff opting to work with us for more than ten years. We welcome families from local Darebin communities including Fairfield, Northcote, Preston, Thornbury, Alphington and more.

What Parents Think

"I feel so lucky to be able to send both my children to Perry Street. The kids spend so much time playing outside in the bush gardens, in the sand pits and with the chickens - it's so great! The staff are lovely and have very little turn over - most have been there for several years."
